About this event

Good Trouble Lives On is a National Day of Non-violent Action to commemorate the work of Congressman John Lewis. Please join Capital City Illinois Indivisible and Springfield 50501 as we honor him and respond to the Trump administration's attacks on our civil, human and voting rights. Because an attack on one is an attack on us all. July 17th is the 5th anniversary of Mr. Lewis's death. We are gathering on Saturday, July 19th to enable more people to participate.

A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.*
