Indivisible Kaskaskia is part of the locally led, people powered Indivisible Project Network, a grassroots American movement founded in 2016, with thousands of chapters across the U.S. in urban, suburban, and rural communities. Indivisible Kaskaskia reflects the heart of rural America by promoting an equity agenda in pursuit of liberty and justice for all.
We are a registered Indivisible chapter in the Kaskaskia area. Our grassroots power comes from working in solidarity with and in coalition with others. We do this through advocacy and direct action organizing of progressive issues and by electing progressive leaders. Together we are striving to build a better community for the future.
Elise Moore Asher
President
My name is Elise Moore Asher, and I am a founding member and administrative leader for the local grassroots’ progressive organization Indivisible Kaskaskia.
My vision is to bring people together who share common beliefs founded in kindness and service to and for our fellow humans. Our work is to bring a face to the movement for substantial and lasting equality for all people in our communities, county, state and nation.
We want to register people to vote. Encourage people to be informed and to use the right they have to express their voices through local, state and national elections.
Use your voice where your feet are!

I am humanitarian and have been embedded in marginalized communities as long as I can remember. I bring IT support, life experience, and humor to the group.

Amanda (Kneller) Geil
Treasurer
I moved around a lot in childhood and landed in St. Elmo when I was 10 when my mom remarried. Went to college at ISU and got a B.S. in Criminal Justice and worked as a paralegal for an insurance company. I married my college sweetheart, and we currently live in Bloomington where I homeschool our four children. St. Elmo will always be home to me.
I’m a member of Indivisible Kaskaskia because I believe in building strong communities and promoting inclusive and diverse community spaces. I want to work to resist oppression and protect fundamental rights. I believe in bringing ALL people together regardless of the aisle you are on because honestly fascism doesn’t care.
